WELCOME TO PRAGUE

Live in one of Europe's best preserved and most beautiful cities. With stunning architecture and winding streets, the city offers sights around every corner.

LIVING IN A EUROPEAN CITY

Prague is the Czech Republic's largest city and capital, the 14th largest in the European Union. Prague is located in the mid-west of the Czech Republic. The country is centrally located in Europe and borders to Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Austria.

Today, Prague is especially known for its beautiful and impressive buildings, which represent all styles and dominions. The city is divided into different areas: the Old Town (from the 13th century), the New Town (from the 14th century) and the Jewish Quarter. "Hradcany" with its cathedrals and castle grounds has been the seat of kings, emperors and presidents since the 9th century. The city's old center is today a protected historical area.
Something that particularly strikes you are all the towers and spiers that protrude around the entire city. The city is often called "the city with the hundred spiers". It is estimated that there are more than 500 towers and spiers in Prague.

The city has one of the world's best preserved and varied collections of architecture. These are some of the city's most popular tourist destinations and sights. Historically, Prague has been one of Europe's most important cultural centers with many concert halls, theaters, opera houses, galleries, music clubs and national museums.

In addition to Charles University, the city has seven other universities and colleges.

Prague also has a modern transport network consisting of three underground lines, tram lines and bus lines. Prague International Airport, Václav Havel Airport Prague, is only 17 km from the city center with daily departures to all over Europe.
